I love the picture "old balance", I think that one would be my favorite next to "lil scappy" but black and white photography is classic and hot.

D,
Wow
I just heard one of your songs on AOL Radio and decided to Goggle you. It’s good to see you again.
Back in the day, you were my first interview as a V-jay and Hip Hop television Producer.
Your photography is quite incredible. What brought you to the point to pick up a camera? You have quite a gift there. Keep in touch and keep shooting.

Real nice photos yo. i see a real talent here. like i didnt know it was up on this type-caliber (forgive a dude for sleepin LOL). you have a real good eye. do u take the same approach as u did with music? cuz art is relative whether it be audio or visual and these are definitely top shelf material. i hate when people say "this guy is the new so and so" but i really wanna say you are the "gordon parks" of our time. being that u are also a "made-man" in the game, you have access to alot of the behind the scenes. keeep documenting our history brother. i will be a regular here. peace.

my favorites are the 1st self portrait, diddy doing the diddy-bop, old balance, evil dee and the waffle house.
Diddy- good subject matter.
The evil dee- great contrast.
The waffle house- looks like a shot out of an italian mobster flick. Everyones around the table, lined up, waiting for the Godfather to speak.

D nice on the camera device.
After seeing a couple of your galleries, I felt as though another Derrick needed to get behind the lense. I tried a few things- check it out and tell me what you think.

I was wondering whatever happened to you and what you were doing now. I just watched your "My Name is D-Nice" video on VH1 Soul and did a search under your name. I am glad I did.
You have a GREAT eye. I have not had the chance to view all of your work but from what I have seen, I am impressed. You are very talented. Your website has been added to my favorites. I look forward to viewing some more of your work.

These are amazing. You captured images in (raw) black and white and gave each one a classic and poetic appeal (even more than color photography would have). THEY ALL LOOK GREAT!

Thanks for bringin it to us, those of us who don't have the luxury to travel to follow your exhibits and parties:) we appreciate it.
I wish I could be one of that (100) number of bloggers that you will photograph...I would LOVE to be photographed by you! however, life has made other demands (i.e. children, husband, career) so there is no way I'll make my 1st trip to NYC to make that happen anytime soon. But I think that is a very nice gesture. Do Yo Thang!!
