People I Know

A photographer friend of mine by the name of Jonathan Mannion once told me that one of the reasons he believes I will become a great photographer is because I have access to many people. I didn't fully understand what he meant by that until recently when I found myself having Sunday dinner at the home of Kid Rock. I captured a cool image of K.R. preparing his "infamous" spaghetti sauce.
While at the baby shower of Chris & Veronica Lighty, I captured one of the most loving moments between mother & child. The image of my friend Sophia and her daughter is one of most beautiful images I've ever taken. Most of my favorite pics are candid images of my friends doing what they love. I hope you enjoy my latest series entitled "People I Know".

I LUV your photos. You can really tell what type of person you are based off the photos you take. You definitely will be a greater photographer because you are already a great photographer and not only because of the access you have to people but because of the essence in which you capture them when you are with them. Much love to you Brother...Caring, Sensitive, & Real!!!

Its ironic, I just finished listening to "D-Nice Rocks the House" Your photos are great, I don't know if you plan on it, but you really should have a book of photography published.

Yo D...yet again, you impress. As a photographer I find inspiration in many things. Your collection is one such thing. As your friend said, "you were blessed" because you know so many people. I too am in the same boat, but mine is friends and family. I have a big family and so doesn't my wife. We collectively have a number of friends - all with kids. Needless to say, I'm never at a loss for content. Check it:

Peace D, I love to get your blogs. It is also great to see familiar faces. Your photography is amazing! It is true art! You do with pictures what others do with music and paint. You strike emotions and cause folks to think/reflect and feel. That is art! Although I enjoy and look forward to your djing, honestly, I see your passion and love for people thru your photography. May you never stop documenting our culture and it's growth. Continued success! NU PINCHA! (go forward)... Ameliaismore :o)

Oh and my favorite is you and your daughter. The shadow allows me to create my own face. It could be me and my father, or someone else with their child. It's all of us...it represents the love of a father and his child. Brilliant in it's simplicity!!!

I hope both Men and women who are parents see how important it is to love and nuture their children at all times....keep showing them examples...Thank you for this.Rowena/Blink of an eye photography

Your photos are absolutely wonderful. It's not just that you have access, it's that you also have love for the subjects you are shooting and it comes through. And it is great to see Sophia Chang again, even if it's just in a photo. She is an amazing human being and the love that pours forth from this photo of her with her daughter is exceptional.
