The Road To Superbowl XLI - Miami

I just had one of the most amazing 4 day weekends. It started out on Thursday night at the Canal Room, where I djed the Main Ingredients of hip-hop party with Doug E. Fresh on the mic. Man, it was so exciting to rock along with Doug E. Fresh once again. Rappers Melle Mel and Eve partied all night long to the classic gems I dropped which included classics like "The Show" and "Freaks" by Doug E Fresh. Immediately after the party, I headed to the airport to board a flight to Miami. I was scheduled to dj at 2 events for Superbowl Weekend.

At the first event, I did a guest DJ set at an event hosted by Kanye West & Cindy Margolis. It was an afternoon event so it was more of a lounge vibe. After my set, I headed back to the hotel to get ready for the LL Cool J performance. I attended that event with a friend by the name of Matt Fischer and his father. It happened to be Matt's dad first rap concert and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. L's performance was great! He rocked all of his classic material as well as a few new songs. Shout out to Claudine Joseph of Violator for making sure L knew I was there. I was able to get great shots from the stage.

On Saturday morning, It was time to prepare for the real reason I was in Miami, The Sports Illustrated Superbowl Event, hosted by Venus & Serena, with a live performance by Wycleff. First, let me tell you how in awe I was when I walked into the club for sound check and saw that they had a Cadillac DJ booth built for me. After seeing that, I was even more excited about getting the party started! After sound check, we attended the Playstation 3 Superbowl event at the Raleigh Hotel. I ran into a few DJ's, DJ Clark Kent, DJ Rawkus, DJ Tom La Roc, and Pete DJ Jones. Pete DJ Jones, from what Clark and Tom explained to me, is the reason DJs use headphones. Now, I have to do my DJ home work on Pete DJ Jones. We also ran into Superbowl XXX MVP Larry Brown, formally of the Dallas Cowboys. Dude was mad cool. Before leaving the event, we stopped at a table shared by Lisa Raye and Vivica Fox. Now, I don't know how many people have seen Lisa without make-up, but let me share this with you, she is absolutely adorable. She should step out like that more often.

Observations:
1) Lil Vicious isn't so little anymore.
2) It's good to see that LL still goes hard during concert performances.
3) Claudine Joseph is absolutely gorgeous!!!
4) Cut Creator: WOW!!!
5) The Cadillac booth was crazy...
6) Malinda comes across as such a cool, down to Earth woman. If you got a woman that's willing to chill at the Superbowl with you IN THE RAIN, it might be time to start making long term plans, feel me?
7) Great photos as always. I look forward to more.

D, what are you shooting with? Those are probably the clearest shots I've ever seen from you that are not B&W?
And I like the shot of you and Malinda. Simple, yet intimate. Gives the viewer just enough to wonder.
