Word up D-Nice :)
I've been a true follower of Hip Hop since 1982 and even though I don't know any mc's in person, I know them through a numerous songs and photos over the past years.
It's nice to see my idols again. But it's a bit strange to see Master Gee as a middle aged man. I only remember him as the young kid in the Sugarhill Gang.
Peace!

My N***A 4 LIFE!! Yo D, First off, I want to take this moment to thank you for EVERYTHING! Not only did you help me spread the word with the e-blast, you BLAZED it again on the wheels, (with Evil D and Luv Bug Starski who were BOTH incredible!) I loved when you and Evil were going back and forth, that was CRAZY!! And, you even found time to take pics to help me capture one of the greatest nights I've ever been blessed to have. The love I got that night was truly overwhelming. My dude Big Daddy Kane PROMISED me he was coming thru, and he showed and proved, as did Master G from the Sugarhill, Monie Love, MC Peaches, Giz from the Audio Two, Tracy Lee, Greg Nice, Kool Herc, Grandmaster Caz, Raheim and Melle Mel of The Furious Five (who both were a surprise,)Pharoah Monch, and even the Chubbster himself, Chubb Rock! (Where are pics of him?? smiling..) The bottom line: It was the BEST event we ever had to date in the 1 year history of The "Numark" Video Mix Party, and I have to thank you again, along with Julie "Jewels" Al of the Source Magazine who also celebrated her birthday with me that night, and you all helped me make the Video Mix Party 1st Anniversay and my birthday a memorable and historic night! BIG, BIG shout to my Video Mix Crew: The rap legend Dana Dane, BIG CED, The Awesome Two, DJ Vernon, and "Uncle" Ralph McDaniels for riding with me to make this vision happen and helping me take the Video Mix Party to the next level! Mad luv to everyone that supports my party every Wednesday night at M1-5 Lounge. The vibe is always laid back, and grown & sexy, and it was that and more that night. Free food and MAD LOVE! Thanks again Derrick! Mad luv to you, my brutha, ALWAYS! We have been friends for a very long time and I love you man! Holla at me when you can, D! GOD BLESS!! THE HISTORY OF HIP-HOP WILL BE TELEVISED!!! www.thevideomixparty.com, is coming soon!!

Yo D, Thanks!
I LOVE hip hop man, and everytime i read your blog and check your photos; I'm witnessing hip hop from a perspective that most just don't have; its just amazing. Do you have a photography book? If not you NEED one, I'd buy it, and I'm sure alot of others would as well. Thanks.

Hi D-Nice:
Today I was reading an article on Yahoo! Finance that talked about the enormous networking power of blogging. I began to examine myself and the blogs of those who I frequent to realize that blogging is such a full-time commitment and for that, you get full kudos. With each party and every event, your photos and words give us (the public) but a glimpse into the life you've worked hard to create. Thanks! I'm really looking forward to more...
Bests,
Erika S.
