I had the chance to hang out with one of my all-time favorite performers, Mr. Dwight Myers, known to the world as Heavy D. On Saturday, we attended a fundraiser in Los Angeles called the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball. It's an annual event that was created to prepare the less fortunate for employment opportunities. Aside from it being one of the most powerful events I've ever attended, it was also one of the most meaningful events as well. This year they honored Mr "Happyness" Chris Gardner, Darren Star, Jennifer Hudson, and Rick Hess of Creative Artist Agency.

The fundraiser was co-chaired by actress Rebecca Gayheart-Dane and 20th Century Fox Television President Dana Walden. Randy Jackson hosted the event, while Tom Cruise, Brett Ratner, Chris Tucker, and Marcia Cross were all presenters. The night concluded with live performances by Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige. Although Jennifer received a standing ovation, Mary J. brought everyone to their feet when she performed her song "Family Affair". As soon as the Dr. Dre crafted beat began playing through the speakers, Chris Tucker, Randy Jackson, and Brett Ratner jumped on the stage and danced like they were on Dancing With The Stars!
